d-Tetramethrin
d-Tetramethrin (d-Phthalthrin, d-trans-tetramethrin, '(1,3-dioxo-4,5,6,7-tetrahydroisoindol-2-yl)methyl-(1R-trans)-2,2-dimethyl-3-(2-methylprop-1-enyl)cyclopropane-1-carboxylate, CAS#1166-46-7) is an pesticide with powerful and rapid knockdown action to fly, mosquito and other household pests and expelling action to roach but no lethal effect, in mixture with other lethal pesticides in aerosol and spray against household and livestock pests (fly, mosquito and etc), garden and food storage pests. Its efficacy is better than d-Tetramethrin and twice as that of Tetramethrin. It is one of most popular household insecticides recommended by WHO.
Uses
Due to its rapid photodegradation and its low mammalian toxicity. D-tetramethrin is particularly suitable for use in household pesticides and for indoor pest control.
D-tetramethrin is very effective for controlling flying pests and, when formulated in association with residual actives, it can also be used in multipurpose and crawling pesticide formulations.
D-Tetramethrin is mainly formulated as aerosols, liquids for spray applications and emulsifiable concentrates.
The dosage of active ingredient is recommended as follows:
Aerosol: | content: 0.1-0.2% in mixture with lethal agent, synergist and emulsifier. |
Spray: | 0.5-2.0mg/m3 with kerosene as solvent |
EC: | diluted with 40-80 times of water. |
