Tetramethrin
Tetramethrin (Phthalthrin, (1,3-dioxo-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-isoindol-2-yl)methyl-2,2-dimethyl-3-(2-methylprop-1-enyl)cyclopropane-1-carboxylate, CAS#7696-12-0) is a first-generation synthetic pyrethroid. Tertamethrin is an pesticide with powerful and rapid knockdown action to fly, mosquito and other household pests and expelling action to roach but no lethal effect, in mixture with other lethal pesticides in aerosol and spray against household and livestock pests (fly, mosquito and etc), garden and food storage pests. It is one of most popular household insecticides recommended by WHO.
Uses
Tetramethrin is one of popular insecticides recommended by World Health Organization.
It is a potent insecticide with a rapid knowdown to household pests (mosquito, fly) and expelling action to roach but no lethal effect,
in mixture with other insecticides against household pests (mosquito, fly, roach) garden and food-storage pests.
The dosage of active ingredient is recommended as follows:
Aerosol: | content: 0.1-0.4% in mixture with lethal agent, synergist and emulsifier. |
Spray: | 0.5-4.0mg/m3 with kerosene as solvent |
EC: | diluted with 20-40 times of water. |

Notice
